Hi there! Here’s a little history about me. I grew up on the northwest side of Chicago and vividly remember the first time taking a photo and the fun I had. I was 8 at the time, and we went to a local 4th of July parade and I brought along my mom’s Brownie camera. If you’re familiar with a ‘Brownie’, you looked down into the viewfinder and not through the viewfinder like we do today. I still have the black and white prints from that parade and marvel how far we have come with both quality and opportunity.
Well, I was hooked. That experience opened up a life of discovery capturing the beauty of God’s creation surrounding us. I fell in love with the photo medium and have enjoyed learning how to tell a story through imagery ever since.
I like to regularly explore the wonders of Chicago with its rich architecture, breathtaking skyline, and world renowned landmarks. I have added a couple photo paintings from Chicago here to the website. However, my Chicago photos serve as the basis for the stock images I make available through iStockPhoto.
When not in Chicago, I love to explore the beauty of the Door County peninsula in northern Wisconsin. With family roots tracing back generations, the peninsula holds a lifetime of cherished memories. I love capturing and bringing to life the stunning beauty of the Peninsula’s orchard lined roads, quaint villages, and picturesque bluff shores.
I call Wheaton, IL home and love living life together with my wife and three energetic boys.
